#BlackLivesMatter, Rowling & Global Perspective

Perfectly put by J K Rowling! The British author, most renowned for the enchanting Harry Potter series, believes that the world needs to change. In a tweet on her official Twitter account, Rowling wrote, "All I know is that the world has to change. Power structures have to change. White people have to change. #BlackLivesMatter." ... and all we can add to this is that, #AllLivesMatter. Be kind to one another because one good deed goes a long way. . . . Welcome to the 21st Century!

Image: From Full House to Fuller House . Image(s) taken from Google. By Sanniah Hassan So recently I have introduced myself to the modern concept of binge-watching series on the computer. Thus welcoming myself to the 21st century... ha! As yet another year is coming to an end I felt myself reminiscing on the days of my childhood when we used to watch re-runs of the 80's sitcom Full House starring John Stamos, Bob Saget, Candace Cameron Bure, and not forget the oh-so-famous Olsen twins (who played the character of the adorable Michelle Tanner). Watching this series as an adult has made me question so much about family values and morality in general. Although this family structure is not ideal in the sense that a single father is raising his three daughters with two of his best friends, in the absence of a strong female character (who appears in the series from the 3rd season onwards in the form of the beloved Aunt Becky played by Lori Loughlin), the series does tend to p...

Insight of the Soul

© The Sanniah Experience! (TSE) By Sanniah Hassan "Your visions will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes." Carl Jung “Her thoughts are preoccupied – with agony, loss, pain, and suffering. Why has the world she has always known to be hers, come to this? How can someone watch the horrific ordeal of a child being snatched from its mother’s arms with calm and ease? She hears such stories everywhere. Images are literally scattered all across the internet. Fathers and mothers crying for their lost child. LOST. Completely lost. An end to a life. She can’t bear it. This pain. Why must the world be like this? Why couldn’t it be all sunshine and roses? Why can we not have more happiness, she thinks. Her thoughts revolve around the thousands of kids who were abducted… the thousands that must have been taken while she thinks about the kidnappings. Why isn’t anyone doing anything she asks her mo...
