TSE! Quote of the Day: Alice Walker

To prosper in life, one must believe in oneself, above all else... because if you believe in yourself, you feel confident and at ease which helps you to make good decisions. So, always try to be positive in every situation, no matter the difficulty... and above all else, believe that you can! As a kid learning new math problems was tough. If I wouldn't understand a question, I would start to dislike the subject. Things got to the point where I didn't want to study for the exam because I thought, 'what's the point?'  I even tried memorizing the steps (much to my dismay) 😅 but, then my brother, let's call him L, told me to believe that I can. He said, 'If you feel stuck, just tell yourself over and over again, that you can and you will see that you will actually be able to solve the problem.' Initially I thought that he was just messing with me, forcing me into feeling motivated but, and it shocked me greatly as a nine year old - that doing so worked for ...

TSE! Quote of the Day: Adam Smith

Although people in general cannot be perfect, since perfection is only the attribute of the Sovereign Creator, Allah Almighty, it is something we can still aspire towards by choosing to be kind and considerate in whatever we do.  Kindness and selflessness is not limited to a specific action or word rather they come in all shapes and sizes. For instance, refraining from speaking your truth bluntly, knowing that it may hurt some one else's feelings. While, lying should not be a priority, one can choose to remain either silent or speak the truth in a way that would cause the least bit of damage. So please remember to be: 🔹️  Kind 🔹️  Compassionate 🔹️  Considerate ... and leave the rest to Allah Almighty. Things will surely fall into place for you and your loved ones! . . . Genocide Suits NO Cause!

© The Sanniah Experience! (TSE) By Fatima Zubair Writer of  A Child of the New  Millennium And the world went mum. Horrified, disgusted and scared. Silenced. In silent spectator hood The silent majority Trudged. Seeing the uproarious minority Beaten, killed and stifled out of existence. But there were promises to keep Secrets to hide Some plans to conceal And all was wearing thin Time was running out Humanity was trampled Little by little It died each day- Making way For more blood In its offing. Revenge and  Retaliation.  For murder cures no ill Genocide suits no cause. Share your thoughts with us in the comments down below or connect with us at:

Twenty Must-Read Books of all Time!

© The Sanniah Experience! (TSE) By The Sanniah Experience! & Sanniah Hassan I basically developed a love for reading and writing around the time when I was twelve years old [just to be clear, it was more of a realization that I loved them all along. I was just looking for the perfect book]. The book I would read because I wanted to and not because I had to, and that happened to be an Austen classic. The books I had read prior to it had felt tedious partly because I had been assigned Charles Dickens’ books as a child for homework, nonetheless. In my opinion, Dickens should be reserved for an older individual, perhaps a teenager. As a kid, I hated his descriptions and his characters because for some reason I just could not relate to the story I did. So here I am compiling a list of books (in no particular order of significance) for The Sanniah Experience! which has managed to engage me for one or more reasons. These books make for a wholesome experience and tend to ...

With or Without Me

© The Sanniah Experience! (TSE) By Sanniah Hassan  With or without me, You should be happy, that’s What my parents always taught me. I recalled their words as I tried to Hold my tears at bay. Today I would leave it all behind. As I stepped into another life, A new family I would leave behind my past, My web, my nest. I would be leaving behind the people I loved the most To start something new, Another family. I was wearing my heart on my sleeve, Though reluctantly, I was moving on. My heart felt like it would explode any minute, It was as if a thousand butterflies were fluttering within me, What could I call this feeling of the in-between? Being good at playing with words was of no use at all today. What can a girl do as she leaves her memories behind? What does she do, when faced with this unwelcomed change? I tried to express myself, But I found it futile. From this moment on, I would not be me, but we. I was movin...

I wish we could be more!

© The Sanniah Experience! (TSE) By Fatima Zubair Writer of  A Child of the New  Millennium ''I am only one Of the many Shell shocked Dwellers. And nothing more! I wake up each day To hear the uproar Of killings Murders Massacre. And nothing more! What was just ripped Snuffed, and  Bedimmed: Was a humanity A population A people. A species so weightless- Made only more so! And nothing more. I wake up each day  To learn to succumb- because I too Am hamstrung. Hamstrung In the face of a dark,  Dark scourge Of violence Brutality Inhumanity. For I am, but A silent spectator! Just 'Leaning together' Letting go... And nothing more. But aren't we all, A froth? A lather on the sea And nothing more '...filled with straw' Weightless upon decree. Inconsequential, to the extreme? I wish we could be more!'' Share your thoughts with us in the commen...

Quote of the Day!

© The Sanniah Experience! (TSE) Roman Emperor, Marcus Aurelius, is perhaps one of the most well-recognized figures in the history of mankind. Apart from being one of Rome's greatest emperors who have to their credit the safe-keeping of the rich empire from Parthians and Germans , Aurelius is also considered to be one of the most renowned intellectual personalities.  Aurelius' intellectual endeavors were spearheaded by his interest in Stoicism   –  the philosophy that focuses on fate, reason & self-restraint. Moreover, Aurelius was influenced a great deal by the writings of a former slave, and Stoic philosopher, Epictetus.  “Corrupt people unite against one man and spare no effort to ridicule him. Blackmail him and attempt to assassinate his character, blindly follow that one man! ~  Marcus Aurelius Share your thoughts with us in the comments section below or contact us via:  Email: thesanniahexperience@gmail.com  Facebook: @Rand...

What's in a Colour?

© The Sanniah Experience! (TSE) By Sanniah Hassan What’s in a colour? It’s just but that Why do people wish, To be white Not black? Why do some people Desire for things Not theirs Like being white, While being Black by birth Or even in rare cases -  Black when White Why are we so conscious of colour? When in our subconscious We do know  That it is anything but Colour just makes us different It doesn’t define us Doesn’t make us who we are Then why are people so conscious of colour When it matters not at large! All my life I’ve been told That I’m better And why might you ask? ‘cause I’m fairer by skin Yet I choose to believe as some few people Around the world Colour is not who I am And it does not make me, me It is just a means To recognise  me In a room full of those just like me Then why is it that people Wish to be of a colour And not be happy with What they are There ...
