  #TSEDramaReview! Spoiler alert!   So let's talk about Ishqiya, a Pakistani drama that aired its concluding (double-episode) episode on the 10th of August, 2020. Although we had doubts about it in the beginning, the last episode was really well presented. From going full-circle in addressing all that needed to be highlighted, the ending was truly satisfying. Firstly. Hamza & Hamna though both deserving of the dangerous repercussions accepted their follies and mistakes yet, there was one thing that set them apart. Having gone through the sequence of events Hamna finally learnt that she will have to be patient in working towards redemption while Hamza stayed stuck in the 'fight for love' dilemma. There is a scene in this episode that really resonated with us and that was when Hamza's friend tells him to show restraint and questions his irrational attitude when he says, why do always have to bring in a fight? So, 2020 is really turning out to be the worst year ever. Considering the global community is tackling a pandemic, while individual countries are facing multiple issues associated with the pandemic and otherwise. As the black community tries to regain its collective and individual power from the #WhiteMan, across United States, we are reminded of the beauty behind Islam which advocates that no man is superior to another on the basis of colour, and that killing all of humanity. Simultaneously, Pakistan is going through its own series of troubles... from the elite putting their dirty laundry on display for the world, to financial troubles, we cannot help but think that two wrongs can never make a right! Healthy Meal ✅ As we continue to practice social distancing and the dictates of health and safety, as specified by the World Health Organization (WHO). Remember that we must also give preference to maintaining a healthy immune system. Since we can't do that by coming into contact with people and things unnecessarily, we can always focus on a healthier diet and habits.  So, here's an almost-June-resolution to transitioning from all I want to eat, to healthier food and life choices! Another fun way to boost ones immunity is to focus on the positive things happening around us, to keep busy, maybe even help to clean the house if you don't do so otherwise. A day in the life pre-COVID, is a lesson on its own, a reminder of how ungrateful mankind can be. We fail to cherish things, people and experiences as we live them yet, reminisce on the beauty of them when we cannot have them any longer. As we learn to combat COVID-19 as a global community, how about we also learn to rework our priorities in ways that benefit not only our physical but also our mental and emotional health? To prosper in life, one must believe in oneself, above all else... because if you believe in yourself, you feel confident and at ease which helps you to make good decisions. So, always try to be positive in every situation, no matter the difficulty... and above all else, believe that you can! As a kid learning new math problems was tough. If I wouldn't understand a question, I would start to dislike the subject. Things got to the point where I didn't want to study for the exam because I thought, 'what's the point?'  I even tried memorizing the steps (much to my dismay) 😅 but, then my brother, let's call him L, told me to believe that I can. He said, 'If you feel stuck, just tell yourself over and over again, that you can and you will see that you will actually be able to solve the problem.' Although people in general cannot be perfect, since perfection is only the attribute of the Sovereign Creator, Allah Almighty, it is something we can still aspire towards by choosing to be kind and considerate in whatever we do.  Kindness and selflessness is not limited to a specific action or word rather they come in all shapes and sizes. For instance, refraining from speaking your truth bluntly, knowing that it may hurt some one else's feelings. While, lying should not be a priority, one can choose to remain either silent or speak the truth in a way that would cause the least bit of damage. So please remember to be: 🔹️  Kind 🔹️  Compassionate 🔹️  Considerate ... and leave the rest to Allah Almighty. Things will surely fall into place for you and your loved ones! . . . Taking risks and chances is part of every day life, especially for people who are always in the search for something new... a challenge, an experience, a memory, be it anything. Extreme sports are usually considered a wholesome endeavor in overcoming fears but, life is not just extreme sports, it is also the seemingly insignificant aspects such as: 🔹️  Standing up against a bully, 🔹️  Speaking up against a bully, 🔹️  Standing by the truth, even if you are against the majority. One must remember, that no matter what battle you face, whether it is physical, mental and/or emotional, you should do your best.
