Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah or the Father of the Nation for Pakistan was born to a Karachi-based family in the 1860s. A lawyer by profession, the Quaid perhaps knew full well the need for a separate homeland for the Muslims of the sub-continent.
"Think hundred times before you take a decision, but once that decision is taken, stand by it as one man."
Quaid-e-Azam, Muhammad Ali Jinnah
Quaid-e-Azam, and his younger sister, Mohtarma Fatima Ali Jinnah, have contributed greatly towards the inception and Partition of Pakistan, literally meaning, the land of the pure.
The Quaid was wiser for his time since he rightfully pointed out the need for and deep-seated existence of the "Two Nation Theory" which clearly stated that Muslims and Hindus were not just two religions, they were actually two different nations [who followed different ethics, cultures, languages, ideologies, and beliefs] and should be given the right to a separate homeland where they can practice the teachings of their ancestors peacefully.
Muhammad Ali Jinnah believed in standing by his decisions and implementing the principles of unity. Till he breathed his last, he was loyal to the cause of Pakistan and his nations. He gave his all to fight for the unrighteousness of the state so that countless generations to follow will not have to suffer at the hands of injustice and religious intolerance as is currently happening in India [with the CAA riots].
While, Pakistanis today also need to remember and follow the Quaid's preaching of "Unity, Faith & Discipline", minorities are safer in Pakistan than they are in India a country that was strictly against Partition back in 1947.
The Quaid was a man braver than many because he was not afraid of speaking up for those who deserved it. He was a staunch supporter of the idea that men and women make up the threads of a progressive society together, and therefore, deserve to be taken together instead of secluding a major contributor of the society to the four walls of the home.
Based on that observation, Muhammad Ali Jinnah was perhaps one of the earliest Pakistani Male feminists since he had hoped that men and women would continue to fight for the Pakistani cause long after the Partition.
The honourable Mr. Jinnah started his political career as a recognized leader of the All-India Muslim League from 1913 up to the August of 1947 when his dream for the people of Pakistan became a solid realization with the Partition of the Subcontinent.
Seventy-two years after the long-sought Independence, The Sanniah Experience! and the Pakistani nation salutes the great leader for all his achievements on the occasion of his birth anniversary. May we be able to fulfill the Quaid's expectations of a united and stronger Muslim state that does not stand for any form of intolerance and injustice. Ameen.
